Foundations of Digital Design is a step into the production world of creative graphic design, filmmaking and animation. During the course of the semester you will be introduced to professional digital tools and be challenged to create relevant and entertaining media. If you're a beginner, don't worry, we'll introduce everything from the ground up. And if you're experienced, we'll challenge you to reach beyond your present skill set. We're looking forward to a great semester of creating and learning.

- Concepts and vocabulary: composition, camera angles, close-ups, cutting, continuity, shot lengths, basics of editing in non-destructive environment

- Basics of Animation, with Adobe Flash
- Concepts and vocabulary: vector vs. bitmap, tweening (motion and shape), layers, frames, keyframing, sound integration
